On Line Resources

There is an almost embarrassment of resources on the web! The problem is to select those that are really worthy of inclusion. We will continually update this page.

Clicking on an off-site link will usually open the linked site in a new window, or if you already have that window open, will replace the existing link, so be aware of this if you have 'block pop-ups' enabled on your browser.

General Sites

Bible Gateway
As the Name suggests this is the gateway to numerous bible and greek resources
Greek Grammar on the web
Both New Testament and Classic Greek Grammar. A great 'gateway' source.
Tyndale House
Tyndale House has a whole host of references to the Bible in English, Greek and Hebrew, together with links etc. to numerous resources on the web. The only criticism is that this site has so much information it can be difficult to find what you want. It is well worth taking a hour or two (or more!) just to wander round this site just to see what they do have available! We have highlighted below where you can download Greek and Hebrew texts as zipped word documents from this site.

News Groups and Blogs

NT Discourse
http://www.ntdiscourse.org/ "Removing the mystery from discourse grammar". The best blog that I have come across. Quite high powered though
B-Greek list
This is the list for real greek aficionados. However they welcome beginners questions, and you will learn a lot (including how little you really know!) just by lurking. Of course some of the posters just post 'hot air', but most really know their subject. Certainly if you are serious about exegesis you should subscribe here. Subscribe at http://lists.ibiblio.org/mailman/listinfo/b-greek
A list of bible blogs
http://ancienthebrewpoetry.typepad.com/ancient_hebrew_poetry/2009/01/why-it-is-important-not-to-love-the-god-of-the-bible.html. The link is quite interesting in it's own right, but I list it here as it is a gateway to several other biblical discussion groups, although mainly about the Hebrew bible.

Learning Greek

Little Greek 101
http://www.ibiblio.org/koine/greek/lessons/ , the best online tutorial resource I've found fo those beginning Greek, but unfortunately very incomplete.
